In the words of Mr. Nunnery - Applaud Yourselves!! Cinderella was a huge success! All of our students and staff worked so hard, and it definitely showed on the stage. Thank you to everyone who participated and to all those who came out to watch us do what we love! We offer summer classes for teens and adults. Also this year we are offering a Summer Intensive. See information below. It's a great opportunity to keep in shape and work on technique.
Have a great summer break! We look forward to seeing everyone in summer classes!

We trust that you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season and you are as ready as we are to get back to class. Our spring season brings lots of excitement and one announcement we are delighted to make as we kick off the new year is new ownership of the school. Greg Jenkins, Mr. Nunnery’s beloved friend, generously gave of his time and support after Mr. Nunnery’s death four years ago and was a major reason our school survived the transition. Because we are stable and growing, he felt it was a good time to sell the school to four women who also loved Mr. Nunnery, danced with him for almost too many years to put on paper, know and love your children well and only want the very best for the studio and the Hickory performing arts community. Those women are:
Gretchen Wilson- Artistic Director
Paige Levin
Tina Taylor Miller
Tiffany Brittain
We look forward to this new venture and are open to your comments/suggestions for improvement as we continue to grow our school. We hope you will celebrate in this transition with us!

We are excited to announce our 2018 performance of Cinderella with performances May 18th and 19th at the Newton Conover Auditorium. We will be holding auditions for lead roles (advanced dancers only) on Saturday February 3rd at 10am.

Tuition rates have not changed for 2018 which is awesome news as NO tuition rate in town competes with ours. You may continue to pay your tuition at the beginning of each month via check or cash in the studio or you may choose to pay for 5 months in advance (January through May) at a discounted rate. Those rates are: Preballet classes ($45 a month) can pay $210 total and all other classes ($60 a month) can pay $285 total. Remember – intermediate/advanced students may attend as many classes each week as they like. This is highly recommended for students who are wanting to improve and plan to audition for a lead role for the performances.

New students can be enrolled during the month of January – after January it is too difficult to add students due to ordering of costumes and setting of choreography for the May performances. (Any new student who is interested after January will need Gretchen’s approval). New students will need to pay a $35 registration fee and complete paperwork to enroll. We welcome students from age 4 and up and at any level. Mr. Nunnery always encouraged boys/men to study ballet and offered classes for males at no charge. We will continue that offer.
